Is it weird that I’m really disappointed in VRAINs because the fandom has gotten EVERY SINGLE LITTLE DETAIL right in their theories so far and therefore there’s nothing to be excited about on big reveals?
I mean, VRAINS hasn’t proven any of my theories right tho, so *shrug*
but anyway yeah this is why you gotta ignore the YGO fandom at this stage in the game. The fandom’s full of people who’s been consistently at this YGO thing since the YGO DM dub days. And since YGO hasn’t really had massive changes in the creative team other than directors and animators, it’s easy for them to guess at what the big reveals are going to be.
VRAINS has tried to subvert those expectations, but it’s been hesitant to really go for it in big ways, I’ve noticed. Probs due to Konami meddling, another big factor as to why these big reveals are easily guessable.
But anyway, I can’t really tell you to be all “BUT VRAINS IS GETTING SO GOOD. YOU SHOULD BE EXCITED” ‘cause that’d be rude, but I will say if you want to be on the edge of your seat while watching VRAINS, following the fandom and their theories isn’t gonna help you any.
